Hero Mod Spotlight: Leper Reworked (DD2)

The Leper is one of the strongest front-line tank/support heroes in Darkest Dungeon, having one of the highest damage outputs at the cost of low accuracy.
The original hero made by Mythic Games does exactly that - for example Chop I deals a whoping 12 damage, but has Acc value of 7.
However the way Leper's been adjusted in Darkest Dungeon 2 is far more interesting, bringing some more complexity to the way this hero works.
Leper's skills have a (rather high) chance of inflicting him with Blind tokens - a 50% chance to miss next attack. Other skills cleanse theese tokens, giving us players, a decision to be made - attack with a chance of missing or clense the token to make sure our attack lands.
The fun comes from building the team (and hero himself) in such a way, to prevent the generation of those tokens. In the boardgame it's way harder to make complex mechanics that are easy to navigate, but we really wanted to give this one a try.

With our take on Leper we decided to go with an idea of a dynamic Acc modifiers. We didn't want to make any new tokens to track that, so we naturally leaned towards the Buff and Debuff tokens.

A special helping card is included to help introducing the mechanic to the players and track it during the gameplay.
With every Debuff token the Leper's Acc is now lowered by 1 point, and every Buff token raises Acc by 1 accordingly.
Most of the Leper skills now revolve around generating and clensing Debuff tokens.
There's a whole new layer of team building when considering Leper as a front-liner. The players may bring heroes that easily generate Buff tokens for the team or clense Debuff tokens.
But there's more! We've touched every skill in his kit to make sure it fits the new idea. For example we replaced the Intimidate skill with Ruin, which comes with a cost of a couple wounds but in exchange grants a solid stack of Buff tokens.
